Give Everyone $5 and You Will Be Popular
One time, Tyrone Southwick, youngest son, of my older sister, Shelley Southwick Yeman--not me, not the twisted sister, just sitting here typing my blog at Staples, in either Kalispell or Evergreen--came home from school, and some girl had told Ty that he would never be popular. And I remember, Shelley, answering or telling Ty, that he would be popular, if he gave everyone in school $5! And I think the woman had figured out the magic formula for stealing the hearts, minds, integrity, honesty, validity, and credibility of many--the way to win friends, and to cover a multitude of sins! It is Sunday, that lesson will be coming!
To me, money is the root of all evil . . . the first talk I ever gave as a 4 year old, in the Mormon Church, when they had Sunday School, before the consolidated schedule, and each Sunday, a child was to give a 2 1/2 minute talk; mine was on the scripture, man cannot love God and Mammon, or money, either he will embrace the one, and run from the other, or cling to the one, and hate the other . . . God won in my small mind, at the time, and still won that battle, some 59 years later; however, my family must not have been listening to the budding career of their 4 year old, when she got her first audience, and gave her first public speech!
