• I have to qualify, the fact that, I didn't take any notes, on either of these case, that I am about to brief for you, hoping that at some point or sometime, if faced with a similar situation, you might remember this case, and, do the right thing!

THE CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT, THE NAME OF THE POTENTIAL CRIME PERP, THE CAR, AND THE MURDER THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED!

• a local, French, police, confidential informant, a regular who had helped the cop apprehend, many small time drug dealers, thieves, and, whatnot, called in to say, that, he had seen, in his club, a man with a younger woman, that seemed strange, and he was worried this man, knowing his reputation, who had spent time in prison, was going to commit a horrendous crime in not stopped--this is all before hand.  The man knew of the possible perpetrator's name, and his history for violence, and also, his record, for raping women in the past, but he refused to give the cops, the man's name for fear of reprisal against him, for being the source to the cops!
• the man, reported, the car that the man, and this women, young, beautiful, whom he didn't know as a local, was a teal colored, brand, I didn't recognize, French.  This was not much help to the cops, but they did set up a, road block, trying to stop cars, that they thought matched the description, to see if there was a young woman, in the car with some dude they thought or knew was dangerous.
• after a night of drinking, and clearing his head, some function better, drunk, the CI or confidential informant, remembered and called the cops, telling them, that, no, the car was, a silver, again, a brand of French car. not the teal car he had relayed to them earlier.  The cops were pissed, because they never found the teal car.
• on the way home, the CI sees, police lights flashing, and wonders if they have found the man, and his possible, young victim, the woman?  He is quit drunk, and, he stumbles up to the cops, to see, if they have caught the man, in the silver car, just as the silver car they are looking for, drives passed them and the CI!  Scream, and it was clear that, the young blond, was either knocked out or asleep . . . getting the facts later on, after the fact, was that, the very violent offender, wanted her, bank card, and, when she resisted, he punched her in the face, and smashed her dead against the window, where her head was when the car, passed through the police check points!
• this is kind of a complicated case, so, getting the timeline and facts right might be a problem, because the TV producers were bouncing all over the place, and I didn't take notes, to ferret out the details.  What I think, happened, was, this rapist, put an ad in the local paper, and enticed, this young mother of a baby, and long time girlfriend or wife, of a Frenchman, who came in a reported her missing, after answering an ad, for modeling, getting, $1,000 per day and, all expenses paid, making her dreams of becoming a top model, come true, she answered and met this man, in the club, the CI owned, and, the reason, the CI, didn't give the man's name, was, he worked for the dude!  The rapist was a bouncer at this man's club!
• now this story, almost comes from two different directions, to the final conclusion, as to what happened to this young mother, model wanna be, and this violent offender, you have the missing person's report and the husband identifying his wife, and, they you have the CI, and, the cops and the prosecutor, now, strong arming the CI, threatening to arrest the CI, if he doesn't give them the name of the man, who kidnapped the young woman!
• once the cops get the man's name, they start to retrace his steps, with the girl, use of the bank card, and, some, friend, who was pulled into the crime, along with his wife and daughter, when he showed up, with the girl, still alive and housed her in their garage for a few days, while he raped and brutally, beat and tortured her, before, killing her!
• once the cops got the killer, and, he was, spinning the story, as if an accident, he said, that, he and the girl had consensual sex, in the garage, she was free to roam, and in a few days, he promised to take her back to her car, in the city, if she didn't report him to the police.  He said, he got into a dirt road, close to town, and, he wanted her to trade places, and drive the rest of the way to her car, but when they traded places, she tripped him, or he accidentally, tripped on her feet, and feel to the ground, humiliating and embarrassing him, so he choked and killed her!  The cops found, the young woman's body in the boot of her car, and she was dead . . . she had, zip-tie marks on her wrists, indicating, she was tied up, and restrained, in the garage, where they found, zip ties, cut and laying on the bench.
• when the cops came to search the man's friend's home, they found, his wife and daughter, just sitting there eating, and not bothered in the slightest by the presence of the cops, nor the search?  They arrested the three, husband, wife and daughter, for being assessories to the murder . . . all three could have stopped the crime, because, the dude, showed up at their house while she was still alive; however, the man brought, this young beautiful woman's, clothing she brought, for her modeling gig, wanting to look her best, high heels and all, and the kidnapper, gave all her nice clothes and shoes to the wife and daughter of his old friend, for allowing him to use their garage for a few days!
• the family of three were sentenced to 6 years on prison, for their, refusal to report or stop the crime, that could have been averted, and for taking her stuff!  The killer, got, life in prison!
• CRIMES DON'T JUST STOP AT THE VICTIM, BUT IN THIS CASE, HER FAMILY, HER HUSBAND, AND HER BABY, WILL SUFFER FROM HER LOSS FOR LIFE!  THE GIFT THAT JUST KEEPS ON GIVING, RIGHT?

THE WORD, OVER, THE CLOSET, OF THE 15 WEEK PREGNANT WIFE, CARRYING THE COUPLE'S THIRD CHILD, WITH TWO ADORABLE DAUGHTERS--BABY IN TOW WAS A SON, THEY HAD ALREADY NAMED, BOTH EXCITED.  DADDY WAS ALL THE GIRLS IN THE FAMILIES, HERO, THEY LOVED HIM BEYOND WORDS! VIDEO TAPE OF THE YOUNG MOTHER, BRAGGING ON HER LOVING, HANDSOME, HUSBAND, WHO HAD MURDERED, HER, THEIR BABY, AND DUMPED HIS DAUGHTERS IN OIL TANKS, ALL FOR A GIRL, WHO HAD DUMPED HIM, WHEN, SHE FOUND OUT, THAT THIS CUTE DAD WAS MARRIED!  HE LIED, SHE DUMPED!

• the Chris Watts story, captured, the media, the hearts and minds of, Colorado, if i recall, the All-American, good looking couple, beautiful family, one on the way, beautiful new home, of 5 years, they built together, him in a successful, trade . . . she was only, 15 weeks pregnant, what happened between, the joyful announcement, her wearing a t-shirt that said, We Did It Again--OOPPS! all caught on video tape as dad, comes home from work to the happy announcement that the couple is in fact, pregnant with him looking at the pregnancy test, stick, and grabbing his darling wife, both, happy for the new arrival.
• in the short time between the joyful occasion, of a new arrival in the family, and the murder of his whole family, he had an affair with some woman, who rocked his world!  He lied and told her he was divorced, or in the process of getting a divorce and she believed him, until she saw, his whole family, had been murdered!  She said, he told her he loved her, she him, but not as much.  THE CASE OF THE INCONVENIENT WIFE AND KIDS!
• I have had one of these, rock your world, meet someone, when you are still married, and the more you have denied, love at first sight, the harder and more denial, that, the person suffers.  Love sucks!  St. Luke's, on Bellevue way, quote of the week . . . "Opportunity only knocks once, temptation is pounding on your door forever!"  I would not wish this, event in my worst enemy, under the best of circumstances, it is a powerful, dangerous, and in this case, deadly thing!  Watching this young, handsome, cool, father, go through the cop interrogations, the polygraph test, and, the cops, knew he did it, was a very painful thing to watch, and, I thought, what would I advise someone to do, in this circumstance?  I fought mine for 5 years, and, it only seemed to get worse, the more I tried to suppress the feelings . . . I never kissed him, never, had sex, never was around him, did all I thought to be honorable, and smart, and nothing seemed to work.  I THINK MY HUSBAND, KNEW, I WAS IN LOVE, WHILE I WAS IN DENIAL, TRYING TO ACT LIKE EVERYTHING WAS ALRIGHT, WHEN, I WAS FAR FROM ALRIGHT!  After I asked for a divorce, and again, there were little things in marriage, but, over all we had a great marriage, wonderful kids, a cooler then shit home, but, I was asked to speak on INTEGRITY for a church, young women's event, and, I could not rectify in my mind, being in love, or more in love with one man and sleeping with another!  I will tell you what worked for me . . . I HAD A DREAM TO GO TO LAW SCHOOL, AND GOT ACCEPTED!  HOW IS THAT FOR PRIORITIES!  SAVED ME FROM HIM, FOR THE KIDS, SAKE!  30 YEARS LATER, KIDS HAVE GROWN OLDER AND I[M GETTING OLDER TOO . . . DIFFERENT SET OF FACTS, FOR ME--DON'T EVEN KNOW HIS NAME--GOING ON THREE YEARS, CAN'T SHAKE IT THIS TIME EITHER?  I ALREADY DID LAW SCHOOL!  LOL.  SO, A REPLACEMENT?  WHAT?
•  it is easy to fall in love . . . but love at first sight, is a different thing, and, both times before, it happened, I would have sworn, it was a figment of artists, writers, poets, artists, imagination, until it hits you again!  Are they even logical, relationships that would work?  I don't know, never got far enough into one to say.  I have heard of people just seeing someone on a bus or a train, and never, getting over them, ever, never finding someone, they love, being alone for life?  WHAT IS IT?  BATTERY-ELECTRIC!  Are they relationships that just stop you in your tracks, and turn you in a different direction?  I believe, I had a mission, to the country, to the Constitution, to the law, that is coming to fruition, right now!  As for someone else, I can't answer that?
• on this one, all I could do was cry.  The name of the defendant is too close to home, and at the sentencing, and the cops, did an amazing job, as did the neighbors, alerted the cops, that the young women was missing, and the kids too, with her car, in the driveway, her shoes at the front door, and, the house, just like it always was.  It broke my heart to hear the witnesses at the sentencing part of the criminal process . . . Chris's dad, came to see him from across the country, just held his son's arm, supported him, didn't know what to say . . . even his in-laws, all broken-hearted, didn't want the death penalty, and forgave him, said he didn't have a right to take his families lives, and they didn't have the right either, so they asked the judge for leniency.  From the girl's parents, to the brothers and sisters of both the victim and the killer, everyone was devastated, including ME!  SCREAM.  Both kids from good families, doing everything that is, right by society, but for this, interlude, that blew up, their whole world!
