Hey, You Are Suppose to Be in the Belly of The Beast!
I walked in the Poverello Center for lunch, having nothing better to do, and no money, so I can't have a birthday lunch with myself, like I planned, and low and behold, the Native chick, I thought, or guessed, was the 53 year old women, who either got murdered or mauled to death, was sitting right in front of my face! Happy days, but that leaves, another friend, as a possible victim, Sandra, and I don't know her last name, Whitehawk, or something like that, she is from, Havre, Montana, with roots in Billings, but she floats around this state about as much as I do. Anyway, there are tons of Native American women around these parts, that I would not know, but the homeless crowd is rather small, and many of us, recycle, in and out, so you run into each other, now and then! But, I did notice, what I thought, was a large net, with poles, erected, around or on the one side of the St. Patrick's Providence Hospital, where the unfortunate incident happened, leading me to believe, that is really was a mountain lion attack, and the hospital was doing as all wise, businesses would do, once something like this happens, is do all in their power, for the safety of their staff and patients, plus visitors, and preventing, some homeless person from being attacked again, and that is for future liability sake, erecting whatever they could to warn, prevent, protect, and minimize, any further potential events of this magnitude and nature. Case in point:
Mountain Lion Makes Epic Trip From British Columbia to Helena Area
Caution: You may live a healthier life by reading the Missoulian! In the Missoulian, Outdoors, Section C, Thursday, December 17, 2015, this article appeared, and the information, is scary and alarming, given what, possible happened the other night, a female mountain lion, a 2 year old, female, traveled over 450 miles, from Canada to Helena, Montana, where it is now, as biologists, and wild life management people track, this cat, with a GPS collar on it, to trace its movements . . . could it be our cat? My friend, who lives in the lean-to, who has a mountain lion, coming up to his front door, and stalking around his territory, although, I would not get into a land dispute with this neighbor, lol, said, he has a group of deer, that rest near his hut, out in East Missoula, along with the cat, and the family of bald eagles, who nest in the trees across the meadow from him, and with the Clark River as a backdrop, actually, was the one, who told me about this article, since I could only find, the front section on the bus, so he gave me this one, but I thought I might, take a few quotes, from the article, to alert you, that, mountain lions, in this area are a reality, as in many areas in Montana, evidenced by this cat, going from Whitefish to Great Falls, then on to Helena--we might be out of the way, but you never know! So, here is a warning to avoid, a Close Encounter of the Worst Kind or Most Dangerous Kind!
- In its epic road trip, the young lion regularly traveled through forested shelter belts around farms and ranches, unbeknownst to the people living there.
- The lion was one of three lions he agency decided to collar and track after they showed up in populated areas to prey on urban deer.
- The GPS collar sends out the cat's locations once a day. Biologists in Canada and FWP monitor its movement online . . . as long as the cat is good for that one time a day . . . what about the other 23 hours? just my thoughts?
- The lion reached the Continental Divide by following the Middle Fork of the Flathead River and crossing the divide near the river's headwater tributaries . . . One interesting not about the cat's eastward venture onto the plains was that she spent a fair bit of time in the forested shelter belts, close to houses!
- "It is really common for lions to be living close to residences and go undetected."
- . . . the lion took a big turn shouth before traveling east toward Helena and then east of the capital city.
- Montana's lion population is estimated at 3,500 to 4,00, but that's being updated in the statewide mountain lion management plan that Kolbe is writing . . . groundbreaking research that's occured in Montana on mountain lion ecology to management.
- the thing that those doing the research, are finding, is that is is rare for female cats to go this far to establish their territory . . . like my daughter said, as man and beast interact, the animals are getting smarter . . . she must be a liberated cat!
- We want to thank, the British Columbia Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resources, and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, for this very important information!
- another great article in the Missoulian . . . while Missoula residents are being eaten by mountain lions . . . just kidding . . . the University of Montana mapmakers are becoming Poachers' Worst Enemies, looking at illegal Nepali tiger hunters, who are endeavoring to give park rangers a good look at their land! Good work TEAM! The article is found in the same section, same page as the other one.
Comment on the Ranchers and Farmers Group, Allegedly in Support of the Salish-Kootenai Water Compact . . . It Does Not Matter How Many Credible Groups Either Support or Oppose, the Compact, What Matter Is What is Constitutional or Not!
the water compact, violates the United States Constitution, treaty clause . . . states can't have compacts, alliances or agreements with the Indians!
the water compact violates the Montana State Constitution . . . Montanans own all waters in the state, ground water, surface water, spring water, and stream water!
it violates the Montana State Code--all water rights were to be called in and recorded with the 11 counties affected by the Flathead Irrigation District, including Indians, the BIA, the United States agencies representing Indians
it violates the Hellgate Treaty of 1855 . . . the Indians ceded their lands, in exchange for peace, money, housing, and the "use and benefit" of the water, with access to all historic fishing holes
a water right, for anyone, is "the use and benefit" of the water, is you don't use it, you lose it! the Indians, have never quantified their water usage!
to have a well ordered society . . . we have to have common and accepted laws!
/s/bad ass con law chick!
