THE DEAD MAN, THE ROLEX, AND THE ANCHOR!

• so there was this small time fishing company, who was not having any luck this particular day, they pull up their nets, and, cruise, 6 miles out further, and throw down their nets.  They caught a ton of fish, but to their surprise, they pull up a dead man, still wearing his Rolex watch, and find a belt, and an anchor in the mix of odd things to pull out of the sea . . .
• the fisherman, report to the Coast Guard, and they call the cops, all thinking it is just the remains of an unfortunate accident at sea
• someone happened to mention to the detectives and this is a very symbolic name, if I can remember it, Det. DC Ian Clenahan, or Washington, D.C., I (Jo)Ann See or Clean Hand--I clean up all their girls' records! . . . that Rolex watches, like almost everything now days has a serial number on it, that might give the cops a heads up on, who was the owner of the watch.  Not only did the cops get the name of the person, but, they also, saw where he had taken the watch to be repaired one several occasions, that, took him right to the neighborhood that he had been living in.
• the dead man's name was, Ronald Platt.  Through the watch, the dealer was able to send the detectives to one of his friends, a David Davis, whom, might know a whole lot more, about this man and the circumstances surrounding his dead, untimely as it was.
• the cops met with David, a very charming, tall, good looking, interesting, and friendly man, who knew Ron, but, didn't know much about his whereabouts on the day of the accident at sea, he did however, send the cops to an old girlfriend of Ron's, an Elaine Boyce.  She told the cops that she met, Davis, first, I believe, and, later she met, Ron, who she started a relationship with.  After meeting, Davis, he offered her a job, and, got both her an Ron to be partners in some of his alleged, real estate deals.  The name of the company was, CAVENDISH Corp.  I sounded very official, and the two were glad to work for him.  He didn't want to put anything in his name, because, his ex-wife was after collecting more money from him in alimony.  He had his young daughter with him, and she was about 15.  
• Ron and Elaine, I believe, got married, and for their wedding, their boss, gave them, a surprisingly generous gift, two tickets to Canada, where they had both wanted to go for some time, but in the future.  David encouraged the two, to go ahead and he could continue to tun his company, if they got, rubber stamp, signatures, so he could continue to do his business, without his greedy ex-wife, finding out where his money was.  Elaine said, that she started to look into the business, because, it didn't seem to have much to it, fancy name, he came and left all the time, jetting here and there, but, he never really purchased or sold any condos, or real estate?
• Canada, didn't work out for the couple, they both had hard times, finding, gainful employment, and, eventually, the pair separated, and, Elaine came back to England for her sister's wedding.  When, David, saw her at the wedding he was shocked, and seemed, alarmed and mad.  Elaine said that he moved out of the area, right after, she got back.  Ron stayed in, Canada for a while.
• after the detectives, told Elaine that, the body of Ron, was found in a fisherman's net, just recently, Elaine, started to connect tome dots, right after, the cops told her of the death, she accidentally ran into, David, and he didn't mention the death, or anything about, Ron?  I believe, after meeting with, David, Elaine was able to send the cops to a small country, road, with only four houses, that was suppose to be, the Old Farm House Road, and David was to have, moved out there with, his new wife, and a kid or two.
• there were no address numbers or signs, so the detectives just knocked on the first door they came to, and, there was an older couple, who they interviewed, but, when they showed, the couple a picture of Ron Platt, the couple noticed that, they knew a Ron Platt, but he was tall, dark and handsome, charming bloke, and, they didn't know, any David Davis?  The cops realized that, David was using, Ron Platt's identity!  So, this was not an accident, but more like a homicide.  Had the cops not gone to the wrong house by accident, had someone not checked the Rolex watch, serial number, nobody would have ever known, that David Davis, had assumed, Ron Platt's identity!
• the cops didn't want to spook, David Davis, aka, Ron Platt, and give him the heads up, to leave, before they could arrest him, for the murder of Ron Platt, so, they contacted, his landlords, two women, maybe sister.  They were shocked to find out that, Ron Platt, with a young wife, and two kids, was, not the man they thought he was!  He was so nice, dressed professional, had a young wife, so they just attributed, any strange behavior, like his dyed hair, to him, trying to keep up with his very young wife, and kids.  They just could not believe, that, Ron was really David and a killer . . . it just didn't make sense to them.  They could not rectify, the man they knew, with the one they were learning about.
• from that point, the cops were able to trace, David back to Canada, where they found out, that David, was actually, a Albert John Walker, who was, on the top of Interpol's Top Ten Most Wanted, for, embezzling, over $3.2 million dollars in investment money, art, and, gold!  David, had been one of his clients, he cheated, and he assumed his ID, until he was able to kill, Ron, seeing that the real, David, might catch up to him!
• when the cops, met with the neighbors and landlord, they said that, when he moved in, he was, a psychologist, and wanted to work with, teens, or something like that, and he always, had a painting, on an easel in his yard.  When the ladies got close to the painting they noticed that, it had the name David on it, and his name was, Ron . . . they just blew it off, never thought another thing of it.
• the cops then, started to put out surveillance on Mr. Walker, and his alleged, wife, who was actually his, own daughter!  She had two kids, and she played his wife!  Both the neighbors, and the landlords, said, they knew he had a young wife, but they just thought, that, just kept him on his toes and his hair dyed!  Come to find out, he kidnapped his, daughter, telling her, he was taking her somewhere, and when his wife was out, they took off!  Were the two kids, his?  Add incest to murder!  Fuck?  Some men!  They finally apprehended him without incident, and took him into custody, to question him more, but they were worried, that they didn't have enough to connect him to Ron's body, or that he was sailing that day, or that he had been, in that area of the coast.
• someone reported that, David had, a boat, named, Lady Jane, and when they asked around, some, fisherman, or cop, said they had seen that same boat with that name, down near the dock.  The detective, got the serial number off the anchor that appeared to have been used, to weight, Ron's body, down, by, hooking it on his belt that was also found in the fishing net . . . but, when, they got the read out on the anchor it was not the one that, was the right size for the boat!  They got a search warrant, and on the boat, they found, an anchor, another one, different that the one used to weigh down the body, and, there was Ron's blood, on the anchor, and on some of the pillows in the boat!
• Mr. Albert John Walker, aka, David Davis, aka, Ron Platt, showed up at trial, looking just as dapper, and charming, as he had always looked, when, the landlord and Elaine, saw him in life, looking like, every part of him, intended to win this trial, and be set free!  That was not what happened.  Elaine who had been married to Ron, said that, this man had ruined her life, and taken Ron's life, and she was going to get on the stand, and testify against him.  Then his own daughter, took the stand and tied him, to the boat, being, in the water, in that area where Ron was, the day of the murder!
• Mr. WHOEVER, WAS, SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR MURDER!
• ALMOST THE PERFECT MURDER, BUT FOR THE DISCOVERY OF THE FISHERMEN, WHO, DECIDED TO TROLL OUT, INTO THE WATER, 6 MORE MILES, HAPPENED TO DRAG THE BOTTOM, CATCHING A MAN, AN ANCHOR, BELT AND WATCH, SHOWING THE DATE AND TIME OF DEATH, WITHIN ABOUT, 24 HOURS, AND THE COPS GOING TO THE WRONG ADDRESS . . . THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERFECT MURDER, BY AN INTERNATIONAL CON MAN!
