GETTTING SKIN IN THE GAME!  HIGH-FIVE!

The other night, New Years Eve, Trump held his, party, for all his rich, buddies and cronies, and he stood up, and gave, his political plans for the first year in office . . . he mentioned several things; however, when, he mentioned, getting rid of the ACA, or the Affordable Care Act, all the old fucking rich asses cheered, as if it had any impact on their lives, whatsoever?  The Republicans, have long, hated the ACA, because, it is a rally cry, a signature program of President Obama, even called, Obamacare for short . . . and everything, is symbolic, OBAMACARE OR OBAMA CARES!  These cracker jack, rich, bastards at Trump's party the other might in Florida, at Mar-a-largo, or whatever it is, don't give a rat's ass about, you or your family health care plans!  They are all on private insurance, with top doctors, and able to handle any pre-conditions, or cover any surprise, medical bill, without going bankrupt, with medical bills, unexpected and expected, being the number one reason, that people, end up bankrupt, so, don't listen to these people, who, heath insurance is no big deal!  If you are one of the 20 million, formerly uninsured, now insured, who has actually benefited from the ACA, you better speak up now, or forever hold your peace! 

For those of you, who were paying attention, back in 2008, like I was, and I fought, long and hard against, the socialization of medicine, being a former, general counsel, for the Utah Medical Association, even cheap shitting, the system, and going directly, to the house doctors, on the floor of, either the House or the Senate, when the bill was being voted on, after, going into JAMA, on the Internet, and reading what the Journal of the American Medical Association, had to say, about the ACT!  As general counsel, I represented the doctors, against, major, insurance and health care systems, with a monopoly, on the states, that put a choke hold on doctors, their ability to make money, to serve patients, and I distinctly, remember, seeing a cartoon, early on, when, I was hired and getting my feet wet, in the world of medicine and doctors, being from the legal field and a former, legal enemy of the doctors, cramming mandatory, domestic violence, reporting on health care providers, with many doctors in the state, protesting, my hiring, having killed their legislation, with one legal letter, I wrote to the Utah Legislative Health Care Committee, who read it, and put it on the consensus calendar, meaning, that there was no further debate needed on the issue, I won!  But, once something is done, fought over, and put in place by much, better minds, and more informed, as our elected representatives, should be, if they are not, with hearings, expert testimony, and witnesses, reporting, to committee members who are from that profession, and this expansive plan was put into place . . . I have supported it, ever since!  Perhaps not in its entirety, but, in what works!

REPUBLICANS, HAVE VOTED 50 TO 60 TIMES, TO REPEAL, THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT, AND EVEN WITH, A MAJORITY IN BOTH HOUSES OF CONGRESS, HAVE NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL!  I WOULD VENTURE AN EDUCATED GUESS, THAT IS BECAUSE, THE GOP, WANTS TO BITCH AND MOAN, ABOUT IT, BUT, THEY DON'T HAVE A REPLACEMENT PLAN, TO TAKE ITS PLACE!

CAUTION: the Republicans, even in control, have had, 8 fucking years, to come up with a plan, and even implement the plan, to repeal and replace, OBAMACARE(S), so why in the hell, haven't they, done it.  The President, doesn't make the laws, he can't stop them from repealing it, nor could he for the last 6 years, since the 2010, elections, put, the Tea Party, members of Congress, in office, and in all that time, with all those chances and with all freedom, to, do whatever, with a majority in both houses, of Congress, they did jack shit NOTHING!  We have to look, at immigration policy, too . . . President Obama, sat back, begging, pleading with the LAW MAKERS, even with that responsibility, under the United States Constitution, Article I, under the duties and responsibilities of Congress, to come up with uniform, naturalization policies, for immigration!  Again, bitching and moaning, doing nothing, and finally, after years, President Obama, frustrated, and pissed, used his executive orders, to get something done to address, pressing and critical issues, in this country!  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do not allow, you Congressman and women, to repeal the ACA, or do nothing, about, immigration, or bitch and moan, about what has been done, when, the Republicans have NO FUCKING EXCUSE, to say a damned thing!  Good, bad or ugly, at least PRESIDENT OBAMA DID HIS JOB--Congress on the other hand, stood by, criticized and did NOTHING!

No law is prefect, especially, one that was so, bold and comprehensive in nature, with sweeping changes, to a badly damaged system, with insurance companies, ONLY, wanting to insure the WELL, not the sick, who is exactly, who needed to be covered!  Shit, I have not used, one fucking penny, of insurance or have I had need, to, use health care insurance, I am well . . . oh, I broke my leg, and, after paying off, the bill, for my leg, the health care provider, tried to charge me TWICE, and make me start over, paying for the cost of the broken leg, all over again, trying to gouge me, and get more money out of me, but other than that, I don't go to doctors!  Which is another, point that needs to be made . . . stop, going to the doctors, thinking that OBAMACARE is FREE!  I see people, run to the doctors, for themselves and their kids, for, a hangnail on their toe, or a sniffle, which, a doctor can't do anything, you can't do for yourself!  Recently, I tripped, and broke three toes on my left foot, that now, move like a duck's webbed feet, and I tore some ligaments, on the top of the other foot, doing something stupid, like getting a dollar out, of my backpack, and then, turning getting my foot caught under the bench on the bus, throwing me into the handicapped, floor catch . . . well, I could barely walk for a week, stayed, close to the toilet and watched TV, knowing, that there was nothing a doctor could do for me, except, confirm what I already knew, that I broke some toes, and tore a muscle!  Not doctor worthy!  WE ARE IN CONTROL OF THE COSTS OF OBAMACARE!

DON'T THROW THE BABY, OUT WITH THE BATH WATER!

Due to a glitch, in the computer system, right off the get-go, with, a problem with, either the computer company, registering, and getting signed up, there were delays, issues, and problems, but, those were remedied!  You never have a second, chance to make a good, first impression!  So, many got a bad impression, right off the bat, and decided, that, because of that, computer problem, that the whole ACT WAS A MESS!  That is just not the case, and many states, who were originally, against the roll out of the health care plan, later, changed their tunes, and adopted the program, and have, done great things, for their citizens, and provided, protections, insurance, and safety for many people, who, didn't have health care, many who NEVER had health care, and with, health care coverage, extended to college students and Millennials, up to the age of 26 on their parents, work coverage, that was a great thing!  Most of them, will NEVER use the coverage, but there is peace of mind, when you are covered!  College used to only take, 4 years, when, my ex-husband, graduated, back, in like 1975 or so, later with a master's degree, so longer, the average age, for an undergraduate degree, at the University of Utah, was 6 years!  So, this extension, made a shit load of sense!

I heard something on the TV or in my news feed, that, after the battles for like the Civil Rights Act, of like 1963, which, took like 50 years to pass, there were bumps, problems, and issues, long after the ACT was enacted, so to think, that with the most extensive and comprehensive, attempt to cover the uninsured in this country, we are going to get ever aspect, or issue, solved, is simply, NOT BEING REALISTIC!  The one thing, among, many, that I can appreciate about seasoned, politicians, like Hillary Clinton, is that, they know, that, like on the minimum wage, taking the wage from $8 per hour to $15, is going to be an almost impossible fight, but to take it to, $11 or her projections, in her realistic mind, was, $12 per hour, not the jump, to the full, desired, amount of $15 per hour, that Sanders and Millennials wanted, because, that, was, too far for a Republican controlled, Congress would ever buy!  But, lucky for the middle class, or minimum, wage earners, the states, stepped in, and just did it themselves!  YEAH!  But, it is easy, to complain, easy, to bitch and moan, throw red meat, to the masses, who, chant, and scream . . . who want blood, want people, unrealistically, locked up, by those who, first don't understand the law, nor the jurisdiction of the various branches of the government, who, want mobocracy, like in third world countries, where they actually, assassinate their political opponents or really do lock them, up, which we do not, unless, they fucking BREAK A LAW, and then, only after exercising DUE PROCESS AND EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW! which was just not the case . . . but, now the bitches and moaners, who have complained, for 7 years, about Obamacare, have the chance to do something, they, still, don't have a replacement, and they just want to kill the ACT, and leave, everyone, hanging for 2 YEARS, while they work out a plan!  THEY ARE ALL BARK AND NO BITE!

YOU GOT A VISION OF WHAT THE GOP DID, GETTING RID OF ETHICS--YOU BETTER BE VIGILANT, WATCHFUL, AND CAREFUL, AND LET YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS, KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK, OR WE COULD GET A TOTAL MESS, LIKE PRESIDENT OBAMA, AND US, INHERITED FROM THE BUSH/CHENEY YEARS!
