(G) THEY HAVE BASEBALL TEAMS, AND INTERACT ON A FUN LEVEL, SO COMMUNITY MEMBERS, KIDS, GET TO KNOW THEM AS HUMANS, FUN, CONCERNED, AND AS CHAMPIONS OF SAFETY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL! (2) YOU HAVE A, WHITE PASTOR, WHO ORGANIZED A PEACEFUL MARCH, BELIEVING STRONGLY, THAT WE ARE TRULY TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER, AND IN LIGHT OF THE WEEKS' BLACK KILLINGS, HE COULD NOT, IN HIS RIGHT MIND, JUST LET THESE KILLINGS GO, WITHOUT DOING SOMETHING! SO HE ORGANIZED, THIS "PEACEFUL ASSEMBLY" AND MARCH, THAT JUST STARTED SPONTANEOUSLY, AND GREW QUICKLY TO 800 PEOPLE, INTERACTING, TAKING PICTURES WITH COPS, AND ENJOYING A NIGHT, TO PUT IT ON THE RECORD AND ON THE MAP, THAT, DALLAS, WILL NOT TOLERATE VIOLENCE, TO ANYONE--HE, VERY SYMBOLICALLY, WAS CARRYING AN 8 FOOT, CROSS, THAT, ONCE THE SHOOTING HAPPENED, THE CROSS, BECAME, A SHEPHERD'S STAFF, LEADING HIS RATHER LARGE FLOCK, TO SAFETY, YELLING RUN, RUN, RUN, AND THERE WERE, LUCKILY, ONLY TWO PEOPLE, BOTH OKAY, WHO GOT SHOT, WITH THE 60 BULLETS FLYING EVERYWHERE! THE POWER OF THE CROSS AND A MAN, PRACTICING WHAT HE PREACHES, AND HE IS WHITE! SO WE HAVE TWO, INNOCENT FACTIONS OF THE COMMUNITY, COMING TOGETHER, TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER, TO MAKE A STATEMENT OF LOVE, OF PEACE, AND SO, WHEN THE SHOOTING BROKE OUT, IT NOT ONLY, MADE A STATEMENT THAT WAS THE TOTAL OPPOSITE, OF WHAT HE STARTED THE PROTEST TO SAY OR ACCOMPLISH! LEADING US, TO THE PERFECT (3) THE SHOOTER, WAS NOT CONNECTED TO ANY GROUP, HE ALLEGEDLY ACTED ALONE, HE WAS NOT INVOLVE WITH "BLACK LIVES MATTER" MOVEMENT, NOR HAD HE BEEN MARCHING . . . HE WAS VERY UPSET ABOUT THE TWO BLACK MEN WHO DIED, AND HE WANTED TO STRIKE, OUT AGAINST WHITE POLICE OFFICERS! THIS MAN, HAD SERVED IN AFGHANISTAN, AS A RESERVE OFFICER, SO HE WAS PRACTICED AND TRAINED, AND HE WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE BARRAGE OF SHOOTINGS IN THE LAST YEAR. SOMEONE, INTERVIEWED ON THE NEWS, MADE A GREAT STATEMENT, ABOUT, ALL OF US, TAKING THE TIME, TO "WALK IN THE SHOES OF THE OTHER PARTY OR GROUP, EVEN THE SHOOTER, INVOLVED, IN DALLAS. WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO BE RAISED BLACK IN AMERICA? CAN WE, AS WHITES, UNDERSTAND AND MAKE OUR KIDS, UNDERSTAND, THAT OUR EXPERIENCE IN THE CITY, IN SCHOOLS, OR ON THE STREETS, HAS A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE THAN WE DO, AND WE CAN'T LOOK AT THEIR "REALITY" AS BEING THE SAME AS OUR OWN, "REALITY?" CAN WE, UNDERSTAND, WHAT IT IS LIKE, TO KNOW THERE IS SOME UNREST IN THE CITY, AND FEEL, THE FEAR OF EVEN AN ARMED POLICE OFFICER, WITH "ONLY" A BADGE, GUN, AND SQUAD CAR, TO PROTECT THEMSELVES, AGAINST, ANYONE . . . I AM NOT DEFENDING, THE COPS WHO SHOT THE TWO MEN, BUT, THE ONE COP, WHO SHOT THE MAN, WITH HIS FIANCE' AND HIS FOUR YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE VAN, WAS LITERALLY, FREAKING OUT, EVEN TO ME, SOUNDED LIKE HE WAS CRYING, SHOCKED, AND SEEMED, HORRIFIED AND WHAT HE DID! I KNOW, THAT, IF I HAD A CHOICE, OF BEING THE PERSON SHOT OR BEING THE PERSON, WHO SHOT, SOMEONE INNOCENT, EITHER THROUGH, FEAR, ADRENALINE, OR JUST IN A FIT OF UNCONTROLLED ANGER, POSSIBLY FOR NO REASON! WHILE WE DON'T AGREE, WITH HIS ACTIONS, CAN WE, SOMEHOW, UNDERSTAND, HIS REACTION? THERE ARE MANY, POLICE OFFICERS, WHO ACTUALLY, ARE SHOT THE SECOND, THEY COME TO A WINDOW, DUE TO THE DRIVER, HAVING A WARRANT, OR ARE IN FEAR, OF NOT HAVING MONEY, OR WHATEVER? IT IS A TOUGH JOB, AND NOTHING EXCUSES, SHOOTING AN INNOCENT MAN, WOMAN OR CHILD, BUT, WE CAN'T CONDEMN, ALL POLICE OFFICERS, WHEN TRYING TO SAVE LIVES! THE BLACK COMMUNITIES, ARE, SICK, AND SO AM, I, OF "TURNING THE OTHER CHEEK" ONCE AGAIN. THERE, IS BEAUTY, IN THIS TRAGEDY . . . DURING THIS WEEK, THERE HAVE BEEN, LIVES, TAKEN ON BOTH SIDES, AND TWO RIGHTS, DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT! BUT, WE, DO HAVE, A CITY, THAT IS TRYING, COPS WHO WERE INTERACTING WITH CITIZENS, THERE WAS A LOVING SYMBOL IN THE "CROSS" FROM THE TEACHER, THE MAN-GOD, JESUS CHRIST, WHO TOLD US, TO LOVE GOD, AND TO LOVE, ONE ANOTHER "AS OURSELVES!" THAT IS A TOUGH, CHALLENGE, ESPECIALLY, IN THIS SITUATION, BUT, THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER, AS SEEN, WITH OFFICERS, LEADERS, PASTORS, MOVEMENTS, DIALOGUES, UNDERSTANDING, OPEN CONVERSATIONS, AND AN ATTEMPT TO SEE, LIFE FROM, AND THROUGH, THE EYES OF THE OTHER PARTIES, INVOLVED! Complicating Factors In The Need For Criminal Justice and Prison Reform

• the rise of prisons for profit, we cannot afford to turn, humans into profits, benefiting, even encouraging criminal acts, so we can keep our prisons full . . . this is contrary to our basic principles and concepts, as Americans!  We are capitalists, but, get real, this is not, an area, to make money on!
• institutionalizing racism, this CANNOT be the new normal, vilifying the Black Lives Matter, taking an event, like the marches, which were peaceful, calm, friendly, and turning that into an event of pure hatred, on any side of the racial make up, neither, violence against blacks, nor violence against white cops, will do jack shit to solve the issues we have in this country . . . we are all humans, we all bleed, red, white and blue, and we are fucking better than this!  Some young black father, was just interviewed, and he said, we need to focus on loving our neighbor, loving our families, our co-workers, loving each other as we love ourselves, this is the solution!  We are all in this life, together, and owe it to each other, to make life the BEST experience we can for ourselves, our families, our neighbors, and for each other, never, ever, segmenting out a segment of the population, and treating them any differently than we treat others in the same communities, states and nation!  If YOU are not part of the solutions, you are PART OF THE PROBLEM!  Get over racism!
• we need continue to promote, encourage, entertain, bring together, the police and the community!
  Sometimes what we don't know, we fear!  Take the opportunity, to talk to a cop, and cops need to mingle in the community, become real, to the community, not someone to fear, but someone to TRUST, with the HEALTH, SAFETY and WELFARE of our communities, and neighborhoods!

GOD IN THE FACE OF A CHILD

Parents, racism, discrimination, hate, starts in the home!  The first place to teach, love, kindness, justice, all the virtues, involved, in, living together in a more perfect Union, with domestic tranquility, is taught, modeled, patterned, and imitated, starting with what children, witness and perceive to be, the nature and culture, of acceptance, inclusion, and understanding, seeing what, the parents do in the home.  There have been recent studies, that say, racism, has actually increased, with the election of the first black president . . . which is an interesting phenomena.  Why would that be?  I think, blacks, making up, only about 14 percent of the American population, is black, but they came to this country, starting, in society, as below, zero, not even, being seen, as humans, under the worst, decision of all time, the Dred Scott decision, in the early days of this country, where a slave was considered the property of his owner!  It took a long, line of cases, changes, even a civil war, and President Lincoln's push for the black man's vote, leading to his assassination! This battle to fight racism, has been long fought, and many lives, tons of blood, was spilled, over the fight for black equality, rights, and the vote.  We cannot, afford, to go backwards, but, we do need to understand, that, with the Obama, presidency, many blacks, were like, it is about time, leading to, the old white male guard, even stated and called President Obama, boy, and they are going to show him, this or that.  But, they have found in the black communities, mothers, often, promoting racism, catching up and matching, their white, mother, equals.  We ALL, need to watch, what we are teaching our children!

While I was raising my children, in a very diverse section of Ogden, Utah, a railroad town, close to an air force bases, very different than other cities in the state of Mormon, there was a good mix of cultures and people, races and nationalities, my children were exposed, to all kinds of people, like you do, living in the inner cities of any city or state in America.  We had a very cool, black, mail man, my kids had Vietnamese, Laotian friends, Hispanic neighbors, over the backyard fence, so they were just raised with diversity.  So, I don't think, we really said much about anything or anyone, and on my second, daughter, Nicole's birthday, at age, 3 or 4, when my daughters were well into, playing with Barbie dolls, Nicole, asked for a black barbie doll?  I had three, very blonde, blue eyed children, Greta's eyes, have gone, hazel, and a red-headed, blue eyed, son, so, I was, taken back, by, Nicole asking for a black barbie?  I just wanted to make sure, I got it right . . . are you sure?  She just said, yeah.  Me and my husband, just looked at each other, and smiled, shrugged, and we bought her, a black barbie!  LOL!  

Nicole taught me a great lesson that day, kids are born COLOR BLIND!  I am sure, that, Nicole, saw me, laugh and joke daily with my very fun, mail man, looking forward to his visit and exchange, each day, more than the mail, he was delivering!  My husband, a city planner, in Ogden, had a black, very sophisticated, intern, in his office and we had him over for Christmas Even dinner, since he didn't have family around, and I swear, him telling us about going to church as a child, with big black mama's grabbing his face, planting it in their, very ample bosoms . . . their skinny husbands, and the preachers, messages!  We, were laughing until we were crying, and if you don't think, our very, Mormon, kids, were not watching, our reaction, you are crazy, and Nicole probably thought, the black church, sounded much more fun, than the stodgy church, her parents were taking her to!  LOL!  We are, the first line of protection of black and white lives, starting with our children, and we can see the face of GOD, in our children . . . out of the mouths of babes, kids!  To them, people are just people, there is not difference, a fun new friend at the playground, is just a new fun friend, we are the ones who, starts, the process of assigning, our, own prejudice on our children!  There is a country, music song, that says, everything you do, I'll be watching YOU! and they are.

YOUR SO, SO . . . AH, SO . . .

Once, my mother, was with my little sister, Tiffany, when she was about the age of Nicole, and my parents had taken, Tiffany to the old Utah Stars, basketball game, before the Utah Jazz, were around, and mom and Tiff were in the elevator with one of the Star players, and Tiffany, started, looking at his toes and moved on up, and up and up, looking at his face, and she talking really loud, said, mom, look at that man, he is soooooo, and my mother was trying to cover, her mouth, or shut her up, and distract her from what she was sure Tiffany was going to comment on, his blackness, but she was having none of this, and pulled my mother's hand off her face, and she said, he is SOOOO TALL!  Relieved and smiling, my mother said, oh, yeah, he is so, tall, and she smiled at the super star basket ball players, whom, I am sure, was smart enough to see, what, mom, thought, Tiffany was going to say, when in reality, she didn't see his color at all, she just say, his height!  Smile, and he just got off the elevator.  Lessons, learned, not by the child, but by the mother, who had her own, prejudices, and her own, projection, of differences, racism, came through, but, Tiffany, was not the one who had those thoughts and beliefs.

This same mother, again, showed her colors to my sister, when, my sister, dated, a black man, in college, but there were issues, and I believe a physical confrontation, between my sister and this black, football player, went to far, and I think, he realized that she was using him, to make another white player, jealous . . . but, my parents, pulled her out of school, to get her out of the conflict.  I was down stairs, in my bedroom, where I could, hear the whole, exchange, and could hear my mother, say, what would the neighbors think? and she was sobbing, while Shelley was protesting, and pissed.  I could hear, my father, say, your mother is the least prejudice person I know!  I am, standing on my pillow, on my bed, tip toed, making sure, I heard, all this conversation, thinking, laughing, oh, hey, mom, the least prejudice person? and you are worried about you daughter, dating a black man?  Now, this was the early 70's, so, thinks were just starting to loosen up, with the hippies and the free love, accept everyone, mixing it up, with the races, in a generation, who was not seeing things the same as their parents, did.  But, I got a kick, out of, the conflict between, what my mother promoted, with was tolerance, as long as it didn't touch her own home! while my father, was encouraging, what my mother gave lip service to, but what she really didn't believe!  LOL!  

I know, my parents, were pissed and held it against me, that I dated and really, liked, two black men, just two years ago, they opened me up to a whole fun side of race, relations, and the tension of sexuality and long held, thoughts and prejudices, overcome with love!  LOL!  Exposure is always, a way to work magic, get to know each other, whether that be cops, getting acquainted with the black community, they serve with each other, so? and the black community, parents, need to teach, their children, as tough as it is right now, and they are justified, in many of their feelings, but, things will not change, if we all just continue, to focus on the bad, on the crimes and tragedies, but, I loved, the response of I believe, the response of the mother of Philando, and she said, not forgiving the officer for taking her son's life, in such a brutal and horrific way, but, looking it through the view, that, through her son's death, conversation, changes, and good will come, and I believe, it has and will continue, to open conversations, look at the Dallas police department, changed, starting in 2013, with the shooting of Treyvon Martin!  But, she even went so far, as to say, her very humanitarian, son, may have been born, just for this moment!  There are scriptures, where even Christ himself, said there are those among us, who will do more than I have done!  Now, none of us, can save someone from sin, death; however, Jesus, only reached, at the time, several, hundred or thousands of followers.  Perhaps, through, these two so hideous deaths, so close, will finally, PUSH America, to deal, in a full frontal attack, race, police relations, and criminal justice reform . . . that would be fucking HUGE!

KIDS, HELP YOUR PARENTS LEARN!

About, ten years ago, I flew to Atlanta, Georgia, where my daughter, Greta was living with her husband, Dallas, and, when they came to pick me up from the airport, I said, Man, now, I know, how blacks, who fly into Utah, feel, I was the only white in the whole airport!  Greta, just laughed, and said, Mom, you bigot!  Her best friends, in the military were funny, cool, black chicks, including her friend in Althreta, GA! Along those same lines, back about that same time, I called, Elliot, and asked him what he was doing?  He said, I am going to the Gay Pride Parade, in Salt Lake City, Utah . . . why are you doing that?  Your a bigot, Mom!  Okay, so I have politically sensitive kids, and they both taught me, to be, more, open to differences, and think, more what I think and say!  LOL!  I have never thought of myself, as a bigot, but if the shoe fits, wear it!  LOL!  

Kids now days, are raised, much, more exposed to other cultures and races, through social medical, music, education, movements, changes!  Teach these old dogs, NEW TRICKS! We need to see what, acceptance looks like!  I am always, impressed with the total, nonshelant, and casual, grace, at which, younger people, handle, changes . . . we were having a health care seminar, at the Poverello Center, and the staff, just said, any one who, identifies as a woman, taking in transgender possibilities, is invited to the meeting.  They changed the bathrooms, to non-gender specific bathrooms, I was bugged at first, not wanting, to share with men, but, I calmed down, and accepted the change!  Everyone needs to go to the bathroom, and the men, have been conscious of putting the lids up and down, just like family members have to do!  Believe it or not, we can EVOLVE! which has the word, LOVE, backwards!

PEACEFUL PROTESTS, HELP PEOPLE EXPRESS THEIR FEELINGS, FRUSTRATION, ANGER, WHICH IS POSITIVE

COP SHOPS, CAN, CHANGE, POLICE DEPARTMENTS, CHIEFS OF POLICE, CAN, LITERALLY LOOK TO DALLAS, AS A MODEL AND EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW!  THERE WERE "NO" VILLAINS, IN DALLAS, OTHER THAN THE SHOOTER . . . PEACEFUL, PROTEST, HONORABLE COPS!

SOMETIMES GOOD COMES THROUGH TRAGEDY, AS IN THE CASE WITH CHIEF, DAVID BROWN, WHO WAS NOT JUST PAINED BY HIS LOSSES, TO VIOLENT ACTS, BUT, USED HIS PAIN, TO STOP THE PAIN OF OTHERS, AND START MANY PROGRAMS, TO MOVE COP, COMMUNITY RELATIONS . . . CHANGE WILL COME! 

Just like all cops are not killers, a killer does not mare the Black Lives Matter movement . . . on BOTH SIDES, there were aberrations, cops and the shooter, just happened to be black, but he was in NO way connected to the movement, nor has the movement ever encouraged, violence, or anything other than peaceful protest, and ways to avoid, being hurt by cops!

Elected officials, who blame, the Black Lives Matter, are doing a disservice to everyone, blacks and cops, alike . . . don't trash cops, because, there are a few, who have killed blacks, very unjustifiably, through fear, prejudice, or not thinking!  That mentality, is what, leads to an AMBUSH, in the wake of, other wrongs, created, by a few, cops!

I always, wear the same thing, all black, rarely change up (I do, however, wash my underwear, every once in a while!  LOL!), because black stays clean, I can just, take off my yoga clothes, made of krytonite, super clothes, made for working out, odor control, sweat resistant, etc., so, they know what I generally wear, because they have never seen me in anything else!  LOL!  So, not absolutely sure, if they were talking about me, but, to error on the side of safety, I put my jacket back on!  That seemed to throw the bus drivers off, because they see me all the time!  There is surveillance on the buses, so, the security guard, with FAKE guns, is playing hero, or so he thinks, getting the WRONG woman, the REAL attorney, protecting the big boob, cop lover, sister, who is 5'11" . . . ah, I am a good, 3 to 4 inches, shorter, but, at least that much taller, than another, cop double, who doesn't look ANYTHING like me, but, NO, the cops didn't get me, and they were dazed and confused, as usual!  LOL!  The security guard and a driver, were scratching their dikes, and looking right at me, but with my jacket on, while suddenly two bike cops, came out, and went on the down the street, thinking I must have ditched out fast, going after me!  God did his, Intel, and showed me, the two, red, Jeep, Cherokee's, our long time, sign for, having a great escape!  I was not sure, but, I kept seeing, people running, this way and that, but I was too lazy to move, and I was waiting for bus #14, to take me to the Sleepy Inn!  I barely, got into my room, and all of the sudden, a bike cop, was creeping through the parking lot at the SLEEPY INN!  I was just coming out of the bathroom or using the phone at the desk, so he didn't see in my room, by a thread, so, I must have, just, missed, being caught, for, I guess wrting about Dallas, or being picked up, so one of the fraud broad, gets credit for what I wrote about COPS!  Jealous, jealous, jealous . . . oh, I slammed Sarah Palin, who fucking pales to me, as does, Rachel, aka, Sarah, aka, Me, in Republican dress, of course, women, have to wear dresses, in the GOP, too liberated to wear pants, or they remind the old stodgy guard, white asses, men, of Hillary, akin, to liberated women, who dare, get in their faces, and have the audacity to run for president!  LOL!  But, went I got to the motel, I seriously only had, minutes, before the cop was cruising through, looking for me . . . just like the Chinese chick, is coming to a famous motel, the cops, read my blog too, and know, that when I am in Missoula, and either not at the Pov. or in my trap camp, both under surveillance lately, I go to the Sleepy Inn!  JoAnn (3), Cops (0)!  

COPS--BAD ASS CON LAW CHICK BLOGGERS MATTER TOO, YOU ASSHOLES!  SORRY COPS, I TRIED!  THESE MISSOULA DUDES, MAKE IT HARD FOR ME TO DO ANYTHING, but WRITE A FEW POSITIVE BLOGS!
