Kissinger . . . Action Creates Reality--Perception Based on Our Own Expression or Expansion

With this political season and election coming up, one thing I hope my readers, will understand, is that underlying philosophies of a candidate, core beliefs, background, experiences and education, will make a difference in the way the candidate, runs their office.  Not to make, Trump my bunching boy, but recently in the newspaper, there was an article about the exclusive, condo development, he was involved in, down in Panama, I think . . . one bad thing about law school, is that it teaches to you to skim read, some 200 pages a day, for the most part, therefore, sometimes, while you get the general jest of the material, you might miss the details, so, the general idea, was that this project, or the owners, the builders, FIRED, Trump from doing whatever it was he was doing.  There were delays in payroll, and several other things, that I should have taken notes on, but evidence, and some issues that might create alarm, in the public, if that is the type, allegedly sloppy, business ethics, and practices!  We expect, good faith efforts, glitz and glamour are not the nature of political office, it is down and dirty, hard work, not to be taken lightly.  I think, the problem with President Obama, is that he makes it look so easy! We are not always going to be so lucky! 

My mother told me that everything came to easy to me, is that why my sisters thought they could so easily step in and take my place?  Well it took 6 of them to replace me, and they still don't have all the cases covered and had to rely on smoke screens, illusions, computer games, wigs, the intelligence community, that is better, known as the counter-intelligence community, using scanning to steal blogs, date change on emails, or theft of make-up, to lie on DNA samples!  How does this build trust, credibility, reliance, faith in the system, putting the best person forward, and wasting, either my money, used against me, or tax payers money, that should have been used on worthy, constitutional, and legal causes . . . girl games, is not one of them!  But, you can see how far reaching a president's choice of secretary of state, can be, actually turning the nation on it head, then the spin doctors coming in and catering to the far right, leaving a country without trust, and getting us in this surveillance nightmare, we are in today!  But, rock bottom beliefs matter . . . I for one, and totally predictable . . . if it is constitutional, I am all about it, if not, I am all against it.  PERIOD!  I am so easy, the devious cops, feds, and others, kept trying to read meaning into my actions . . . nobody does this just because they took and oath?  There must be a hidden agenda . . . no, that is basically it.  LOL!

Henry Kissinger Was Most Drawn to Spengler's Philosophy, On the Rise and Fall of Great Civilizations

The problem with me is that I can't read my own notes!  Once, someone in law school, missed a day of class and asked to borrow my notes, returned them and said, I can't read them, and I can't read my own, so I apologize again to the presenter and author, Greg Grandin, but maybe I can at least, spark some interest in the book, The Long Shadow of Kissinger, giving you at least the idea, that there is a big ass connection, and foundation, that was set up during those years, between, 1968 and 1974, when Kissinger was working with Nixon and Ford, and seemed to be the fuse, that lit the powder keg, getting Nixon all riled up, and alot of times, being the cad he was, using women, or other men's dealings with women, as a match!  I did like the fact that, Nixon, married his high school or college sweetheart, and called her the love of his life.  Kissinger on the other hand was divorced, and a womanizer, liking to show up as Washington social events with the most gorgeous women.  Nixon and the administration was embarrassed of him and advised him to find the most interesting and bright woman and sit by her!  LOL!  That would be me, I would hope!  LOL!  So, in an attempt to muddle through the next few pages of notes, hoping to reveal that red laser of connections between the 60's and 2015, where were are now, learning about history, to keep up from forever remaining a child, with smarter people than myself, with a better grasp of history, reading between the lines, and correction some of the misconceptions that crept into politics, to national security, the mistrust and use of surveillance, the militarization of the police on a domestic sphere and using the world stage, as a means to promote and leverage, issues at home.

CIVILIZATIONS THAT FORGET WHY THEY PROJECT POWER, LOSE THEMSELVES

• Kissinger, rejected Spengler's idea that, decline of civilization is inevitable, finding Spengler to be a skeptic, while Kissinger, himself, was more of an optimist, believing that decline was not inevitable
• post-war, existentialism . . . existentialism influenced the new left, and brought about the Vietnam Protests, the sit ins, campus riots, and a call for making love, not war! while the right, on the other hand, promotes war, and some lauded the efforts of the Cambodian bombings, for bombing sake, projection of American power.  I am taking editorial license here, because, I think I hit the heights of my intellectual prowess, at the time I left my undergraduate years, and it has been down hill ever since, the law is not exception, with me projecting on to judges, a mental acumen they didn't possess in the first place, and being told by, none other than Jewish attorneys, taking multiple times the money, I was, telling me, my legal briefs, written in complex sentence patterns were too difficult for them to read?, so you are an attorney, and you want me to write in simple sentences?  I have to remember, old Harvard grad, Columbia, Arizona and BYU law professor, Ray Jay Davis, who said, after law school, the A students work of the B students, and the B students argue in front of the C students.  I have been told to dumb down my briefs and my resume!  So, the other night, when Greg, to a very heady crowd of students and faculty, drug out a word and philosophy from my past lives, before dumbimg down, I decided I better, familiarize both myself and my reader, with the term, existentialism, my law training here, the law is about, definitions and hair splitting, so by way of understanding the time, Kissinger, Nixon, Ford and others, I needed to refresh myself on existentialism, just enough to get through this blog!  LOL.
• Existentialism . . . that philosophical thinking begins with human subjects . . . not merely the thinking subject, but the acting, feeling, living, human individual.  In existentialism, the individual starting point is characterized by what has been called, the existential attitude or a sense of disorientation and confusion, in the face of apparent meaningless or absurd world.  Many existentialists, regard the term or philosophy of being too abstract.  Soren Kirkegard, though he did not use the term, said the individual--not society or religion--is the sole requisite to life, and living, passionate, sincere, and authentically, is the goal of all individuals!  I agree, personal perfection!  Perhaps, this is not only the ideas and philosophy, that generated the hippie generation, and the anti-war movements, but also the ME generation, of self-fulfillment, self-actualization, and self-help, pop culture?  Maybe.  And, I can just see my kids, reading this, and saying, that is MY mom!  LOL!  And, I have studied, Kirkegard, Sarte and other existentialists . . . I just didn't realize I had adopted their philosophies as I read them, but I absorbed, Aristotle, Plato, Kant, and others as well!  Mixed bag!  Hey, I was at the tail end of the 60's!  What can I say?  LOL!
• balance of power, not real power, unstable conflicts, win; consciousness of power, test of power, one need be willing to act . . . inaction has to be avoided to prove that action is used, use limited American power, or we can't know our power, until we use it.
• Nixon and Kissinger, believed in perpetual motion . . . Nixon beat Humphrey, approved Kissinger, Ho Chi Mien Trail . . . Halderman, called, Kissinger, a hawk of hawks!  Johnson called off the bombing.  Nixon/Kissinger, over breakfast, thus Operation Menu, devised the secret plan to bomb, Cambodia in secret, without the knowledge of Congress.  America needs to escalate, to prove we are powerful.  Many people believed Nixon's moral insanity, destroyed the country, the Butterfield record conversation, on the Nixon White House, bombing North Vietnam, South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, and we accomplished, NOTHING!, destruction of a country, for nothing!, just to escalate the bombing.  Here is that, deadly philosophy, inaction is to be AVOIDED!
• the idea, was to bring about the world, he wanted to believe, overwhelming military power to bring a nation to its knees:
• we could not believe that North Vietnam, a 4th level, world country, didn't go to its knees
• same ideas used, in attacking Iraq and Kuwait!  We believed Sudam Hussain, was Hitler!

• whether we got it right is really secondary--it is demonstrative of our POWER!

• attack Somalia, sweep away all nation sovereignty . . .
• Kissinger met with Bush, often used as an adviser, consultant
• neoconservatives came on board with a consensus
• Hillary Clinton used to disagree with Kissinger, while in as Secretary of State . . . now, Kissinger is her view!  I understand taking the position of your boss, when you have to follow the President, you were under, however, if this is the position of Hillary now, you may want to take this into consideration!  I will . . . start early on choosing who you vote for, IT MATTERS!
• not the recklessness of the neocons/not Obama's wait and watch . . . balance is good!
• Trump is much more . . . build up the strongest military in the world, then don't use it?  Wisdom, budget, needs, wants, individual costs, engagement?
• constant unending war?  Hillary, idealist our reality?  Kissinger is our Avitar? Think! Cost!
