A+ Rating, Not Only for Great Food, But For Wonderful & Enlightening Political Conversations, at the Granite Peak Grille & Bakery--Thanks for the $15 Gift Certificate!
I was sitting at the new Starbucks Coffee Shop, that just cropped up in the parking lot of the Red Lion Hotel, on the corner of Main and Center Streets, in downtown, Kalispell, Montana, and all of the sudden one of the Barista's, interrupted, my keyboard pounding, that I do daily, on my blog, Know Your Rights: The Law, is the Law, is the Law, found at the blog spot, bad ass con law chick blog, Google search engine, and she hands me a $15.00 gift certificate, with a small note on the back, from my friend and owner of the amazing Granite Peak Grille & Bakery . . . I am kind of a one order specialist, at every restaurant I got to. I find one item, usually the first, item, in this case, a French Dip sandwich, dripping with mozzarella cheese, fresh cut roast beef, homemade buns, and an au jus sauce to die for! Not to mention the prepared on the spot, customer, by customer, french fries, or home fries, with your choice of at least 4 fry sauces, to spice and season up you dinner, even beyond the normal, mouth watering delight of the sandwich . . . and fun service, this mother and daughter team, make great food, many of grandma's recipes, so good! Plus, I think Linda, I am terrible at names, is always up on the news, and constitutional law issues, so my poor partner for dinner, has to hear the latest and greatest on issues, topics, and elements of constitutional law connections, and people.
The location of the Granite Peak Grille & Bakery, is at 1111 Highway 2 West (Meridian Rd), Kalispell, MT., at the Foursquare strip mall, with its back side to Midas, and across from McDonald's Fast Food on Idaho Street. I believe that they are open at 6:00 a.m., now for breakfast, but their Facebook page says they are open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Watch that afternoon, closing time, because, I have gone in for an early dinner, on my way up to Foy's Lake, and caught them closing, after a mouth watering month, out of town, wanting to get back to their great food, and almost missed having my craving satisfied, but like many locally owned businesses, who know you, they stayed open, just for us, fired up the stoves and made us their amazing food, did so with a smile, but, I am not going to push them again . . . not that they wouldn't do it, but the first time I showed up after hours, is one thing, and going there, now that I know they close at 3:00 p.m., I have no excuse to get my sorry ass to the Grille on time! Check the 6:00 a.m. breakfast, because, maybe that was just for hunting season, and I don't want to give out misinformation, and I might get out of my afternoon rut, and try breakfast, and see you there! Thanks again for the kind gesture!
New U.S. Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, Black, Female, 55 Years of Age, Already Seasoned Civil Rights Advocate Attorney!
I was a bit concerned that when former, U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder, retired, that the work he was doing in Ferguson, Missouri, on the Michael Brown shooting, by a white police officer, with a grand jury, looking at the facts and the evidence, deciding whether to charge Officer Wilson, with some variety of either voluntary manslaughter, murder, in the homicide death that has the nation waiting with baited breath to see what is going to happen, just another black teen, senselessly gunned down, or was their call for the officer, to legitimately be in fear of his life? I don't see, how that is even possible, since, he did have the great equalizer, a fucking gun! We are not talking some inexperienced woman, who just happens to have a handgun in her purse, and tries to shoot an assailant, this is a trained, and experienced officer, with 6 years under his badge. Whatever, the grand jury, under the direction of a contested, county attorney, better do justice . . . but, I am glad that, given my experience, with cops, trying to kill me, a white civil rights, constitutional law attorney, formerly allegedly one of theirs, an assistant attorney general, Utah Prosecution Council, Criminal Enforcement Division, Utah Attorney Generals Office, that after Holder resigned, President Obama, hooked us up with another passionate, attorney, who would continue to look into, police misconduct and civil rights will remain a principal focus even after the departure . . . I was, extremely worried, not only for myself, a daily encounter, but for those who are far more vulnerable than myself!
As I see it, Ms. Lynch, has several impressive and pressing traits in her pocket: (1) her experience handling the rape, with a broomstick of a Haitian emigrant, done in the bathroom, of the New York, police precinct . . . the fact that this crime was perpetrated by a cop or cops, doesn't cleanse, launder, clean, expunge, take away the filthy crime that it was, in fact, it makes it ten time worse, committed by officers of the law, who have a legal, moral, ethical, professional, principled, fucking DUTY to handle these things according to constitutional protections, affording all rights, there in contained, as well as following department, policies and procedures, that can't sanction this type of animalistic treatment of defendants, detainees, or suspects . . . was this torture, used to get a confession? I mean, what the hell? We are better than this America! (2) The fact that she is a female . . . I find that women, like myself, don't play the good ole' boys club very well, we don't turn a blind eye, wink, pat each other on the ass, as if, whatever in the hell some cop, prosecutor, judge does is just "A" okay! It is not, you have constitutional rights that are at stake, and goddamn it, don't expect, your colleagues, friends, associates, to turn a fucking blind eye, condoning your asinine behavior that you should be put, smack dab in jail for doing! (3) the fact, Loretta, that you are black, we have too many black teens shot by cops in this country; while blacks only make up 14% of the population, they far exceed that number and percentage of representation in the prison population, with witness identification being harder, in crimes, due to the fact, that blacks have one hair color and one eye color, and are blamed more often for crimes, than their white counterparts, with innocence projects, and the advent of DNA testing finding, that many blacks have been falsely charged, accused, arrested, tried, and found guilty, by all white juries! And, I almost forgot, your age, 55, not a babe in the woods, have been around long enough, to know the game, and probably a no, nonsense person, at this stage of life . . . can't think of a better nominee, good luck getting through the Senate Confirmations, I'm pulling for you!

Many of the issues, in the criminal justice system, we are dealing with in this country, deal with blacks--civil rights and women--rape and sexual assault, you have both attributes to help the country understand the issues better . . . and I think you will be a huge asset to the legal system in this country! I am so grateful, that President Obama and U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder, pushed prison reforms through Congress, minimum mandatory sentences are terrible, take away a judge's discretion, and are responsible for many unjust and prolonged prison stays, when the prison system is already overcrowded. America has the highest rate of incarceration in the world! With 34% of the adult population having either been in jail or prison, me included, as an attorney, who pissed off cops, and judges, doing what you did in New York, buy you are a bit more civilized and advanced, or have more oversight, being closer to Washington, D.C. These dumb ass cowboys think they can do anything, literally, including killing someone like me, they want, with little pressure, politically, socially, or constitutionally, with people just thinking, well, she must have done something wrong!
Bull fucking shit, I sued cops, prosecutors, governors, attorney generals, county attorney, government agencies, and state officers, for violating my client's, now mine, federal statutory and constitutional rights, while acting under color of law! I am sure you are well aware of all these statutes and of course that little, speed bump, called the United State Constitution, and state constitutions, not only supporting the rights in that document, but even providing more rights than under the baseline rights in the federal constitution! I am 100% behind you, support you, happy for you, and grateful for you!
Young Dictator, Depot, Kim Jong Un, of North Korea, Obsessed Over Human Rights . . . Are We Going to Be An Example . . . Good? or Bad?
The really great thing about blogs, tweets, instagrams and other forms of social media, is that many world leaders are now connected, can read, think and be exposed to human rights issues, like never before in the history of mankind . . . what kind of example, is the leader of the free world, raping helpless Haitian emigrants? Really? Are you fucking kidding me? As we become more and more entwined with each other, there is a gigantic potential for good, for leaders of other countries, to not only read about, or hear about different instances, that occupy the news in this country, like the Ferguson, gunning down of a black teen, a minority, with the majority of the police department being white . . . thank God, President Obama, had the savvy, the sense, and smarts, to bring in Officer, Ron Johnson, until we, as a country, can become more color blind, just like the Lady, in the Statute of Liberty, with a blindfold over her eyes, as she holds the torch of freedom and liberty . . . sorry, that is Lady Liberty, but I am thinking of the Lady Justice, holding the scales of justice, with the blind fold on . . . how long is it going to take, for us to be as the blindfolded lady with scale of justice?
Come on, the United States Constitution, protecting civil and human rights, for over 239 plus years, not going to stop to do the math, but, somewhere around that long, and here we sit, with a county attorney, in Ferguson, who weasels out of his job, doesn't charge the office, take the case and let the system, that he allegedly believe in, do its job, with a jury of his peers, with counsel, not only presenting the facts, the legal applications, the law, but leaving the jury, to be the finder of fact, and in some cases, the law also, deliberating, in the excruciating duty to convict an officer of the law, or to exonerate him . . . that is our system. I think it is a cheap shot for the country attorney, to shirk his duties, while claiming them, dumping this on a grand jury, and, in a strange turn of events, dealing with grand juries, let the officer testify on his own behalf, rather than just giving them the facts . . . the good officer, the boy scout effect?
Kim Jung Un, North Korea, China, Russia, Africa, and other countries around the world are, fucking watching the way, Ferguson, Missouri, not only handles the shooting, through the grand jury, but watching the county attorney who claims he can do his job, without prejudice, yet turning that job over to the grand jury, because the fucking prosecutors in this country have become the hired guns for the cops! As we see in this case, not having the balls himself, to hand down an indictment, or charge to the officer, with the cops circling the wagons, protecting, in my mind a murderer, who had a temper issues, refusing to give comments, not releasing the officer's name, putting out the tape of the teen, allegedly robbing a store and roughing up a store owner, that proves, exactly what, that you are using a character assassination against an unarmed 18 year old boy, who did what many of you have done, shoplifting, and you think this justifies killing him? That is not our system and you are not worthy to work in it, if that is how you see JUSTICE!
