Pity Parties, End Quickly, In Montana . . . Huge # of Vets!
When I get feeling down, that all my earthly goods, all I worked for, even family pictures, that are in the hands of my enemies, are all gone, and I am literally, an officially declared, Bag Lady, gratefully, staying at the Samaritan House, with a warm roof over my head, food in my belly, and discussing politics, with Vets every morning over breakfast, as we watch the morning news on TV, all I have to do, is remember the sacrifices of those who have served our country, given their hearts and minds, often in undeclared, and less that worthy wars, benefiting government contractors, and to pump up the economy, get in the souls of these men and women who, so willingly, bravely, and commendably, put on the uniforms, and swear the oaths, of their individual branches of the military, and risk, it all, home, family, relationships, life and limb, my sacrifices, not only seem small, as basically monetary, with challenges, with the vultures even wanting my kids, my grand kids, and anything I put my golden hand to, to lay in wait as Satan himself, seeking to destroy, steal and kill, all I have to do to get perspective, and put my own sacrifices, into the bigger mix, is to think of the Veterans of all the wars, declared, or undeclared, scrimmages, around the earth, that, if not promoting American ideals, protect American interests, and defend human dignity and rights across the globe, something we can all be proud of, to say the least. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and beyond, if possible!
I am sure that the reason, my kids, especially, my two daughters, who were even more free thinkers than their parents, signed up and pledged to defend, protect and preserve, not only the United State Constitution, but protect America from both foreign and domestic enemies, serving their country, while their aunts, uncles, grandparents, boyfriends, and others, thought, that was the last thing on the face of the planet, two bright, Mormon, girls, who were even scouted out for careers in modelling, with stood all the criticism, however, not from their mother, knowing full well, that as young girls, they mocked, Mormon testimony meetings, probably due to listening to their parents, or coming up with the sob stories, imitating the criers in church services, yet, observing, the silent tears that ran, freely down their mother's cheeks, as Memorial Day Services, or at Veteran's Day Ceremonies, that as the stories of valor, of bravery, of sacrificed, touched my heart, deeper than that for church, recognizing full well, that, it is this country, the U.S. Constitution, that allows people to worship as they please, or as they don't please, free to be atheists, agnostics, deists, pantheists, Muslims, Jews, etc.
As we see ISIS or ISIL, behead, torture, threaten, kill, burn Christians, actually rolling a pregnant woman, in cloth, because her clothes would not start on fire, after burning her husband, then forcing her into the flames, as people cheered! We see young women, who are of the Islam faith, falling in love with Christians, and see them murdered, tried, jailed, for love of an infidel! Jews have been persecuted the world over, scattered, with horrific death, scientific experiments, gas chambers, in Germany. All over the world, people have been persecuted for their religious beliefs, except in America! Sure, we are dealing with people's individual religious issues, that use that the pressure, with anything going on, it is the Christian right, who has the religious freedom to persecute other! The opposite is true in America, it is the non-believer who is held at bay from practicing their form of non-religion, that is equally protected under the Constitution. So, thanks Vets, for creating a bastion of freedom, unlike the world has ever know before, and still in most parts of the country have never experienced . . . thanks for putting on that uniform, protecting freedom, liberty, rights, a beautiful country, worth fighting for, setting an example, like a lighthouse on the hill, for the rest of the world to see!
Principles, Concepts, Rights . . . For All Mankind!
I think there is about 190 something countries, in this world, with two in the Ukraine just taking out sovereign status as a free standing country, stopping the tug of war, between the countries of Russia, and the Ukraine, with rule over them since, about 300 years ago, and officially since 1954, if I can remember from reading the newspaper, over the past 6 months, since the Ukraine voted to go more with the western part of the world, voting for alliances, and trade, with closer ties to the UK and America, inciting the Pro-Russian separatists, who just held the allegedly unconstitutional elections, freeing two areas, from Ukrainian, control, with Russian just over the borders, breathing down their neighbor's necks! But the good news, is they did not vote, like Crimea, to rejoin the eastern block, but remain, neutral, if you will, while leaning toward the eastern block, remaining in a position to partake of the benefits of both, so to say, not a bad move, and much better than a continual war over there. So, over 100 countries, in forming their own constitutions . . . agreed upon laws, that both the governed and the government have to follow, or should as they evolve into the country, they all agree they want to become, have adopted and used as a model taking parts of the United State Constitution, as a guide, a touchstone of human rights, and civil rights, that they want for their own citizens.
Every country, has much to share with all the countries of the world, and as we get more and more connected, through social media, trade, technology, industry, and politics, we are becoming a better world, and that is much to the stance of America, backing allies, human rights, and fighting terror, worldwide, as one of the planet's SUPER POWERS! What comes with that status is the duty, the expectation, the responsibility to help, smaller, newer, less powerful countries, who face, challenges from other world powers, divisions, and economic systems, to survive, thrive, and grow, under the constant friendship and alliances, with America . . . and fucking right in the middle of that is the AMERICAN SOLDIER! America, never, never, never, would be what it is today, without those men and women, ready, willing and able to serve their country, in places, parts of the world, that Congress and the Commander-in-Chief, the President, in wisdom, sends them in harms way, hopefully through thoughtful consideration of the costs, the sacrifices, the lives, and all that is asked of our troops, to do, in the name of freedom, liberty, democracy, rights, human dignity, and all that is good in human beings!
In America, We Expect A Lot, And We Always Get A Lot, From Our American Soldiers! Freedom, is NOT Free! Tears, Running Down My Cheeks, THANK YOU!
P.S. I could go on forever, but I need to cross the street from the Kalispell Mall, to Depot Park, where there will be a Veteran's Day Memorial, and speaker . . . parents, if you want your children to love this country, attend services, that literally bring tears to your eyes, and you need not say more, your children will get it, without you saying a word! I never knew my kids were even watching, actually embarrassed for crying in front of them, often wiping tears out of my eyes, as right now, so they wouldn't see their bad ass mother, crying, for this great country!
